In these times, when challenges to public education and educators abound, there is nothing more important than to keep up with legislative initiatives (local, state and federal), and to become a more forceful advocate for our membership. In doing so, we can use our skills and knowledge not only for the benefit of ourselves, but also for the benefit of our profession, of public education overall, and the future of education in the State of Maine.
